Cadaques art exhibition to raise money for local schools

An exhibition featuring works by 125 artists linked to Cadaques opened on Saturday to raise money for local schools, which have suffered extensive cutbacks in the current economic crisis.

The exhibition is spread over two floors of the Societat L’Amistat at the Casino (note: not a gambling casino, more a meeting place) and includes paintings, sculptures and photographs. At least 50% of the proceeds of each sale will go towards the schools.

The exhibition will be open over the Easter period, which should see an influx of tourism, and runs until April 6th.
