Elton John to open Costa Brava summer festival

Elton John is to open this year’s Cap Roig music festival, held annually in the Cap Roig botanical garden’s near Calella de Palafrugell in the heart of the Costa Brava.

The festival starts on July 20th and features a variety of international and local artists, including Mark Knopfler and Keane, with Enrique Iglesias will close the festival on August 16th.

The main festival sponsor is La Caixa and tickets are on sale from the official website now, via Ticketmaster. Most nights are pretty reasonable, however tickets for the opening night start at a hefty €200.
